A Horticultural Legacy

AmericanHort was founded January 1, 2014, through the consolidation of the American Nursery and Landscape Association (ANLA) and the Association of Horticultural Professionals (OFA). But that is far from the beginning.

Tracing its roots back to 1876, ANLA was founded as the American Association of Nurserymen, Florists and Seedsmen. It changed its name to American Association of Nurserymen in the early 1880s with the departure of florists and seedsmen companies.

AmericanHort continues the long-lasting legacy of serving the interests of nursery and greenhouse growers, interior plantscape businesses, landscape firms, distributors, retailers, and allied suppliers.
