AmericanHort joined a coalition of business groups in encouraging the Treasury Department and Department of Justice to support Supreme Court review of the Corporate Transparency Act (CTA). The coalition argued that the CTA raises serious constitutional questions around congressional authority, privacy rights, and federalism that only the Court can permanently resolve. Only a definitive Supreme Court ruling can put these constitutional questions to rest and protect businesses from future compliance burdens and shifting enforcement.
