Weed Control: Fundamentals of an Effective Nursery Program

For Greenhouse and Nursery

Weeds do more than affect the appearance and management of a nursery—they can also serve as hosts for insect pests and pathogens, allowing them to survive between production cycles and facilitating their introduction or reinfestation of crops.

In this webinar, Edgar Tuna will present a practical approach to developing a comprehensive weed management program for nurseries, beginning with the important role weed management plays in an overall plant health strategy.

Participants will learn how to identify problematic weeds, reduce areas that may serve as reservoirs for pests and diseases, implement preventive measures and physical controls, and understand when to use preemergence and postemergence herbicides.

The webinar will also cover proper application timing and basic principles of herbicide rotation to help maintain treatment effectiveness over time. This session is designed for nursery growers and professionals looking to strengthen crop health through a more preventive, strategic, and integrated approach to weed management.

This webinar will be presented in Spanish with live English interpretation. Choose your preferred language.
