AmericanHort Joins H-2B Coalition Call for Processing Fixes
On September 9, AmericanHort and the H-2B Coalition sent a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, and Acting Labor Secretary Keith Sonderling requesting immediate administrative fixes to H-2B processing problems that are preventing approved workers from reaching seasonal employers on time. The letter asks the Administration to pilot interview waivers for low-risk returning H-2B workers, create a real process for correcting erroneous USCIS petition rejections while preserving the original filing date, and move toward electronic filing and concurrent DOL-USCIS processing modeled on the H-2A program. AmericanHort serves on the Steering Committee for the H-2B Coalition.
