Effective prevention and control strategies will be discussed, including disinfection methods such as UV light, chemical treatments, and ozone, as well as monitoring practices to maintain system health and reduce disease risks.

Dr. Rosa Raudales
Associate Professor & Extension Specialist University of Connecticut
Rosa Raudales is a professor and greenhouse extension specialist at the University of Connecticut. Her research focuses on controlled environment agriculture, irrigation water quality, root disease management, and sustainable greenhouse production. Rosa integrates research, extension, and outreach to support growers, students, and the industry through science-based solutions and collaboration.
Rosa is originally from Honduras, where she studied Agricultural Science and Production at Zamorano Pan-American Agricultural School. She later earned a master’s degree in Plant Pathology from The Ohio State University and completed her Ph.D. in Horticulture at the University of Florida.
