AmericanHort Plug & Cutting Conference Returns This Fall
The event for young plant growers is Sept.14-16 in Philadelphia, Pa.
Columbus, OH – (May 4, 2026) – AmericanHort has announced that the 2026 Plug & Cutting Conference will be held Sept. 14-16 in Philadelphia, Pa. The biennial event brings together growers specializing in plugs, liners, and cuttings for a comprehensive learning experience focused on improving young plant production and operational performance.
“What makes Plug & Cutting unique is the chance to connect with others who understand young plant production,” said Ken Fisher, president and CEO of AmericanHort. “Attendees can discover the latest growing technologies that help businesses stay competitive. This year, the event offers a dedicated Spanish-language education track to better serve Spanish-speaking growers.”
Education sessions will explore key topics in young plant production, including crop management, plant health, applied research, business operations, and emerging technologies. The program emphasizes collaborative learning through peer-led discussions and grower panels that encourage practical knowledge exchange. One learning track will be presented in Spanish to support Spanish-speaking attendees. Registrants will also receive access to on-demand education tracks after the event.
Attendees can visit area operations on an optional production tour to see how leading operations manage young plant production. The tour is available for an additional fee. Tour stops include Lucas Greenhouses in Monroe, N.J.; North Creek Nurseries in Landenberg, Pa.; and Star Roses & Plants in West Grove, Pa. Each stop will also feature on-site instructional stations that reinforce practical skills in young plant production. The day concludes with a guided tour of Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, Pa.
During the on-site trade show, attendees can explore the latest products, technologies, and services from companies supporting plug and cutting producers.
Registration is open for the conference and optional tours. Hotel accommodation is available at a discounted rate if booked before Aug. 24. To learn more or register, visit AmericanHort.org/Plug.
